What is Vitamin A …and what should you know about it? Vitamin A, also known as retinol, is essential to the health of your eyes as it produces pigments in within the eye’s retina. Your eye requires a precise metabolite, retinal, as a a light-absorbing substance that’s vital for scotopic vision – low-light vision.

As you can imagine from this video, Vitamin A has many benefits for your health and is used to keep your teeth, skeletal tissue, soft tissue, as well as your skin and mucous membranes nice and healthy.

Vitamin A comes from two main sorts of foods :

Other food sources of Vitamin A are greens like broccoli, spinach, kale, collard greens as well as the papaya and mango fruits. Bananas are also a rich food source of vitamin A.
